Dr. Kelli Tahaney

Individual therapy that meets you where you are

I work with teens, college students, and young adults on anxiety, depression, chronic stress and adjustment, substance use, eating concerns, and grief — using cognitive behavioral therapy and related evidence-based approaches. Here's how working together looks.

What I offer

Free 15-minute consultation

A no-pressure phone or video call to talk through what brings you in, hear how I work, and see whether we're a good fit — before you commit to anything.

Diagnostic evaluation

A 60–90 minute session to really understand what you're experiencing, clarify any diagnoses, and set clear targets for our work together.

Individual therapy

60-minute sessions for adolescents, college students, and young adults, in person in Boulder or by video. Usually weekly or biweekly, always at a pace that works for you.

A footbridge leading into a quiet green forest

You don't have to have it figured out to begin

The first step is just a conversation — a free call to see if we're a good fit.

Grounded in CBT

Most of my work draws on cognitive behavioral therapy — a practical, well-researched approach that helps you understand the loops between what you think, how you feel, and what you do, and build real skills to loosen the stuck ones. I fold in cognitive processing therapy and motivational interviewing where they fit.

Ready when you are

Booking starts with a free 15-minute call — no pressure, just a conversation to see if we're a good fit.
