About

Kelli Tahaney

Dr. Kelli Tahaney is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Colorado. She completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Boston University and then moved to Colorado for her doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship. Dr. Tahaney recently made the move to beautiful Boulder, CO to start her practice.

While she has specialized in helping adolescents and young adults struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders, Dr. Tahaney also has extensive experience working with patients with anxiety disorders, depression, grief/loss, and trauma or PTSD. Dr. Tahaney approaches therapy through a cognitive behavioral lens, focusing on better understanding the interaction between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how unhelpful thinking patterns and/or behaviors may be altered to help alleviate suffering. In addition to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dr. Tahaney feels strongly about incorporating other evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
